Dinphy has a new kit!!!

And I got to play with it!! Want to see?! First the kit, isn't it cute, I love that teddy bear (although I haven't used him yet!) (image linked to store)

I decided to dig deep for pictures to use with this cute kit, and I found some great photos, this first one is of the boys in January 2007 (Robert 2,5, Richard 1). Richard got a push around car for Xmas, and they both managed to sit on it and ride around. The journalling is from a song from the BBC show Tikkabilla, which they both love.

And in the same folder I found this adorable picture of Richard, just a random shot taken at tea time. He looked so cute, and I remembered that Bethany of Elegant Wordart had this perfect wordart for it. And here is the finished layout!

So if you like what you saw and want to go shopping - click here! Ooh and Dinphy will be blogging today too, so you might want to see if she has a surprise for you here.

What else is new around here - Florian is home for the weekend, Richard spent the day tripping over his own feet - I think he is growing - and he now has a big fat lip! But he is being pretty brave about it, he didn't complain whilst eating or cleaning his teeth, so it can't be as bad as it looked when he first did it! It happened at Kindergarden just before I picked him up, so it looked quite bad then, poor thing!

A layout and a hint...

I have been neglecting this blog, haven't I, sorry about that. I am busy working on some great stuff and some GREAT news, but that is the only hint I will be giving, just watch this space on April Fool's day for some BRILLIANT news!! (Can you tell I am excited!!!)

Today I took a break from designing and did a layout, felt good to do! Katherine has a great collection just hit her store at Been there Scrapped That, and I LOVE the colours, they are great for my boys. And this is what I made with it:

It is Robert and his best friend. Not that long ago, when we had all the snow and they were sliding down the hill at Kindergarden on their "bum slides"!

I'll try to post again before April, but I am not promising! (I am keeping my pics up to date, so if you want to visit me there, feel free!)

More layouts with "Lucky Day"

I've been bad again, no post for a few days sorry about that, and I don't even have an excuse, but what I do have is some more layouts with my latest kit "Lucky Day" still on offer for $2.99!

This first one is by Vanessa and shows her darling daughter!

And this is another one from Benita of her beautiful granddaughter.

and this one is by Michelle, the journalling is very touching and if you would like to hear the story behind it, pop by Michelle's blog and maybe leave her some cheering up!

Thanks girls for these beautiful layouts with my kit!

So what else is new here, well the best news is, that Richard seems to finally be getting the idea of the potty for No. 2s!! Fingers crossed he keeps it up!
Robert seems to be a bit jealous of all the attention Richard is getting because of this, but saying that he is the biggest cheerer when Richard succeeds. But he is playing up this week badly, hopefully it will improve soon. Because I really need to make Richard feel special, and keep him wanting to carry on!

Today we put the first of our Easter decorations up in the garden, and we have our first crocuses showing and the daffodils are all shooting. I LOVE spring flowers and can't wait to see the first daffodils!
OK, time for bed now, the boys still don't get the concept of weekends, so we will be up at the usual 7am again tomorrow!

Lucky Day Free Quickpages

I had a great weekend if anyone is interested. Mum and Dad babysat the kids, whilst Florian and I had a GREAT time at my brothers concert. this time it was 80s music, it was like timetravelling. And seeing as we both turn 40 this year it was great to feel like a teenager again!

When we came back home we brought my Mum with us. So for the last couple of days I got a little bit of a lay in, as the boys went and got Nanna up rather than me! Thanks for that Mum, most appreciated! Mum was here as I had a doctors checkup at a silly time. 11.15am, now if doctors were any good at time management, I wouldn't have needed Mum to be here, but mine aren't!! I have to pick the boys up at the latest by 12.30pm and I couldn't be sure of that happening, so Mum came to help out. And a good thing to - I was home at about 1.15pm!! I got there at 11am and already they were running late and let me go shopping til 12!
But enough about that, some of you are here for a freebie! But let me show you my layouts first:
This is Richard at the weekend having some green juice - just perfect for my Lucky Day kit, don't you think! Then there is this one I made for the Font Challenge at DAC, the font is Kiralynn btw. And don't you just love the alpha - Dinphy has that as a freebie on her blog, so you might want to stop by there, after you have picked up your freebie here!
I decided to treat you all and turn these pages into Quickpages, there is plenty of room to add a title (possibly with Dinphy's alpha) and journalling on both of them.
You can download the Quickpages at the store (safer than 4shared, maybe, although I haven't had any problems!)

Thanks for stopping by and like Dinphy always says, if you leave a comment, you'll make me happy!

a layout

I needed to unwind and relax tonight, I actually had to WORK today at the office! And 7 hours of translating can be quite tiring, but it was better than sitting twiddling thumbs.
So tonight I did a layout!

When Colie's Corner and Garden Girl Designs released a kit called Hair today, gone tomorrow, I thought they had been reading my blog. So I just had to scrap Roberts haircut gone wrong.

Sneak Peak

We had a lovely day today (after sitting around at work - I mean in the office all morning!) the weather was beautiful, so the boys and I went to the little zoo. It was fun, we haven't been since last summer, so the boys were really excited about being able to feed the animals. Richard gave the poor animals one piece of corn at a time! The poor animals!
Once back home the boys did not want to go in, so we got their bicycles out and it was more fun and games at home!
So tonight they were out like the light!
and look what I have nearly got finished!!! Here's a first sneak peak at my new kit!

I've been told...

twice this evening to stop neglecting this blog! Sorry everyone, I keep up to date with my pictures on the other blog, and don't want you to get bored, when you read the same thing twice. BUT I do have a layout to share with you here today.
Been there Scrapped That have their first ever "free with purchase" kit (when you spend over $10) before March 7th, so hurry!I got to play with it, I used the template that is included too!
it looked just like this today too, the sun was out and we had great fun outside for a change. The boys wore themselves out on their bikes and really didn't want to come in when it was teatime!

So still working on my kit, takes me a lot longer than some designers out there, but I am liking how it is coming along.
OK, time to get ready for bed I think, have to go to work tomorrow, make that the office, not sure if there will be work! I'll let you know
Bye 4 now
