Still time to do some lifting

The Scraplift Challenge at FPD runs until Wednesday, so you still have time to come and join in the fun, just like my "ex"-online friend Dinphy! Hihi, I say ex, cause last week she visited us with her family and now we are "real life" friends!

And look at the layout she did about us meeting (combined with the Scraplift Challenge)

Thanks Dinphy!

CU all at FPD to play along!

Dinphy "SHINE"'s

Dinphy has done it again, a new kit for me to play with, and if you want, you could too, check her blog here for more details (www.dinphy.blogspot.com)!
Anyhow here is what I made with "Shine"

These are both with pictures from our day in Porthcawl whilst on holiday, I still have to make a page for Robert, but for now I have a page for Richard and one for my brother!

And here is a layout of my goddaughter which I did for the Animal Kingdom Challenge at DigiScrapObsession. Sunny, our cat, let her practise her stroking techniques, it was so cute to watch, he was so good with her, considering she was slightly heavy handed, but he seemed to be enjoying the massage!

Here are a couple of the layouts my CT has created with the kit
The first two are by Benita, thank you so much! Check out the extraction on them both, awesome!

And these three are by Dinphy! (btw, she has a special offer on you might want to check out on her blog), where today she also has featured her layouts, with a bit more background about them, check it out! Thank you Dinphy, I love them all!

Dinphy's new kit

Yep, Dinphy has yet another new kit out, and she is paying a RAK forward. So where do I start, with the new kit I think. Isn't it great, it really is a very fun and versatile kit, as you will see, when I show you my layouts with it. But first the kit preview

And here are my layouts. This first one is of lots of the kids at our b-day party all sat in our sandpit, which as you can see is much too small for all of them! It was cute

And here we have the boys with their friend sunbathing, I don't know where they have seen sunbathing before, but they laid their towels out (took forever to get them JUST right!) and then they lay down. The picture is probably a bit decieving as I think they laid for all of 30 seconds, but it was enough to get a picture and make a layout!

And this one was for the scraplift challenge at DSO. It was a fun layout to lift (by Junebogmom68), and I like the outcome, and I really wanted to use the ice-cream from the kit!

OK, now what was I saying about paying it forward, well Dinphy got a beautiful RAK this week from one of her and my favourite designers KimB's Designs, and Dinphy wants to "pay it forward" which means, if you stop by her store and then her blog, and let her know which kit you would like to win, you may just get RAKed. So over you go to her store and then her blog, and whilst you are there, you may even find a freebie to go with this great kit!

I'll be back soon with some layouts from Liz's great new kits too!

Dinphy's "Mellow Yellow" layouts

Well, I think Dinphy has been browsing my photos again... as this time she has made the perfect kit for my Wedding photos. Our wedding colours were lilac and yellow, and look at this kitjust perfect, so here are the layouts I made using it, I just couldn't stop once I had started, and I may be back with more, and of course it is all layouts with my wedding pics!

So this first one I made for the Scraplift Challenge at DSO, before it was closed! Oh well, I got a great layout from it!

This one, is one of my favourite pics of the bridesmaids, just look at them all huddling to pick up all the flowers that had been thrown. I don't think there was a single petal or flower left in front of the church once they had finished!

And this one is so simple, but I love it!

Now if you head on over to Dinphy's Blog she has a matching freebie to the kit for you and will point you in the right direction for it!

Lots Chirpy chirpy hop hop layouts!

And a little bit about our weekend! Well, we normally open the barbecue season at Easter with Mum, Dad and my brother and family, and we will barbecue next weekend - but as the weather was so beautiful this weekend, we decided to open it a week earlier!
Which we did, BUT once the weather heard of our plans, it sent lovely dark clouds over and proceeded to rain! But it didn't put us off, we set the barbecue up under cover and barbecued our sausages and feta cheese. But it did turn rather chilly with the clouds and rain, so we ate in the kitchen, instead of outside, much to the boys disappointment. But the sausages and greek salad made up for it!

So how do you all like my new kit! I have a lot of layouts to show you

This first one is by Benita and shows her kids having great fun at Easter in 1993

These next two are by Vanessa!

And Dinphy did these two great layouts. Look at Tom having fun painting Easter Eggs, shall I be honest and admit, that my kids haven't done this before, as I am not as brave as Dinphy!

And poor Lisa, imagine finding all those chocolate eggs in the garden and then not being able to eat them! Better luck next weekend, Lisa!
Thats all for today
Bye for now

Dinphy has a new kit!!!

And I got to play with it!! Want to see?! First the kit, isn't it cute, I love that teddy bear (although I haven't used him yet!) (image linked to store)

I decided to dig deep for pictures to use with this cute kit, and I found some great photos, this first one is of the boys in January 2007 (Robert 2,5, Richard 1). Richard got a push around car for Xmas, and they both managed to sit on it and ride around. The journalling is from a song from the BBC show Tikkabilla, which they both love.

And in the same folder I found this adorable picture of Richard, just a random shot taken at tea time. He looked so cute, and I remembered that Bethany of Elegant Wordart had this perfect wordart for it. And here is the finished layout!

So if you like what you saw and want to go shopping - click here! Ooh and Dinphy will be blogging today too, so you might want to see if she has a surprise for you here.

What else is new around here - Florian is home for the weekend, Richard spent the day tripping over his own feet - I think he is growing - and he now has a big fat lip! But he is being pretty brave about it, he didn't complain whilst eating or cleaning his teeth, so it can't be as bad as it looked when he first did it! It happened at Kindergarden just before I picked him up, so it looked quite bad then, poor thing!

Lucky Day Free Quickpages

I had a great weekend if anyone is interested. Mum and Dad babysat the kids, whilst Florian and I had a GREAT time at my brothers concert. this time it was 80s music, it was like timetravelling. And seeing as we both turn 40 this year it was great to feel like a teenager again!

When we came back home we brought my Mum with us. So for the last couple of days I got a little bit of a lay in, as the boys went and got Nanna up rather than me! Thanks for that Mum, most appreciated! Mum was here as I had a doctors checkup at a silly time. 11.15am, now if doctors were any good at time management, I wouldn't have needed Mum to be here, but mine aren't!! I have to pick the boys up at the latest by 12.30pm and I couldn't be sure of that happening, so Mum came to help out. And a good thing to - I was home at about 1.15pm!! I got there at 11am and already they were running late and let me go shopping til 12!
But enough about that, some of you are here for a freebie! But let me show you my layouts first:
This is Richard at the weekend having some green juice - just perfect for my Lucky Day kit, don't you think! Then there is this one I made for the Font Challenge at DAC, the font is Kiralynn btw. And don't you just love the alpha - Dinphy has that as a freebie on her blog, so you might want to stop by there, after you have picked up your freebie here!
I decided to treat you all and turn these pages into Quickpages, there is plenty of room to add a title (possibly with Dinphy's alpha) and journalling on both of them.
You can download the Quickpages at the store (safer than 4shared, maybe, although I haven't had any problems!)

Thanks for stopping by and like Dinphy always says, if you leave a comment, you'll make me happy!

Lucky Day - My NEW KIT

I've finished!!! Yep, I have a new kit in the store, and sometime in the near future I'll have a freebie for you, but for now, just check out my new kit!
It's 20% off for this week! (images linked to the store!)And my CT (still can't believe I have one!! *grin*) have already been busy, and hey they are QUICK, they only got the kit yesterday!!! Thanks girls!
This first one is by Leigh, she took this photo last year at the July 4th Celebrations, great shot Leigh!

And this one is by Benita (she did another one too, but I'm saving that one to show you later), its her beautiful granddaughter playing. I love the out of bounds here! (Benita, also used my Nikolaus Alpha and some dice by dozi).

And Dinphy has been busy too. This is her darling daughter walking through a bed of clover! Isn't she cute!!
Thanks girls for the layouts, they are awesome, and you certainly made my day today!

More scrapping...with Dinphy's new kit!

Yep, I have been at it again, and boy have I been having fun. Dinphy has a new kit in her store as of today, and wow, I LOVE IT! (image linked to store)

And I haven't even got girls! Ah, but I do have two adorable nieces, and here they are.. on this first one they are listening (yes they are honest) to Lee's concert, it was so loud, that they needed to protect their ears!
And this one was taken on the day we went to the carnival parade, they were both dressed up as princesses and trying so hard to make an animal or flower from the balloons! I found a great layout in the gallery at BTST and decided to lift it for mine (check it out here).

and then I wondered, can I make the kit work for my boys....YES I CAN!

The photo was taken on Richard's 3rd Birthday!

OK, time to post my daily photo and then it must be nearly bedtime!

Layouts and a free Add-on

So work today was again just a chatting session. Maybe Thursday, but even if a translation does come in, I can't really see how it is going to keep two of us busy oh well. I just keep hearing a little voice saying "Mummy is earning pennies so we can go to Thomas Land, Richard!" that helps beat the boredom!

Back to more fun things. I have made an add-on to my new kit "Love is in the Air", and the great thing about it, you can get it free just by joining me in the Quote Challenge at DigitalArts-Cafe, how does that sound! Oh, you want to see it first, OK!Image is linked to the Challenge in the Forum at DigitalArts-Cafe. Hope to see you there!

And now to show you what my CT (sounds great doesn't it, but I would still love more, check post below for more details!) have come up with, but you know what I am going to make the layouts last all week, so only two today!

This one is by Benita:

Aren't these just GREAT! I can't believe my luck having such talented friends, thanks
Dinphy, thanks Benita!

OK, time to recover now from all the fresh air I got this afternoon - yep, finally the weather was warm and nice enough to go out and play! And the boys certainly played, they had a great time, they rode their bikes, did some digging, played football and ran! They are going to sleep so well today!

Sneak preview

of a new designer soon to be joining the team at Digital Arts Cafe.
Yep there is a new designer joining at DAC very soon, and I am one of the lucky ones who got to play with her kit ahead of time.
I used it for the template challenge also at DAC with a picture of my grandparents.

Mamma Mia!

I am sure this morning it was at least as cold as on Tuesday, it really hurt your face on the walk to Kindergarden. Even Robert was complaining about the cold on his lips! One thing though we did get there quicker than the past mornings!
When I picked them up they were sledging down the little hill there, having a great time. I feel a bit guilty that I haven't taken them sledging. But I really am not the one to do that, I am scared of sledging, so they would only learn to be afraid, rather than have a good time. Maybe Florian can take them this weekend, although with his back, I am not sure that would be a good idea! We'll see.

Not much exciting here. Although you might have had fun watching me ironing this morning! I put on Mamma Mia the sing-a-long version and had a great time singing and dancing whilst ironing! Who would have thought ironing could be that much fun! Sorry no pictures, you'll just have to use your imagination!

I do want to show you this layout by Benita, she used my template that I gave away in yesterdays post, and my friend Dinphy's xmas kit. Isn't it cute?!

AGHHHH!! KIDS!!!! (oh and some layouts!)

Anyone want mine?! Or has anyone got mine? I think mine may have been abducted by aliens again and we have some MONSTERS in their place! They are in bed now, and I almost did a happy dance about it! They have been naughty all day long. And Richard has done more screaming today than he has done the last two weeks in total! But not because something hurt or so, but because he didn't get his way! But I won't bore you with that - I'll show the surprise my friend Dinphy had for me this morning. That will cheer me up again

These layouts are just gorgeous. The fascination in Dinphy's daughters eyes, the extraction and placement of my firework! AWESOME! thanks so much Dinphy!

And I love the journalling on this one, and how she is looking out of the window!

I am hoping for some good pictures this year in the years previously Robert has been really scared of the fireworks, he just doesn't like loud noises! (*edited by Florian: Unless he is making them himself!!!)

OK, I am off to relax by scrapping, I need to see pics of my boys looking cute and not acting like monsters!

Snow, snow and more snow!

Yep, that is what we woke up to this morning, and it hasn't stopped snowing all day long! The boys thought it was great, I wish I could say the same, that and my backache have made for a very grumpy me today, the poor boys couldn't do much right for me today!
I did take them out in it and we built a snowman (be back later with a layout of it!), but when they wanted to stay out in the dark, I insisted we came in. We were all dressed up in our winter overalls, looking very very bulky. Luckily I was the one with the camera!

A Snowy Evening - DigitalArts Cafe December Collab Kit (my portion)

We walked to and from Kindergarden today, and of course the walk home took forever as they insisted that they play in every bit of snow, and since it was everywhere it took forever (well, 30 minutes for a 5-10 minute walk!)

Before I go downstairs, I want to show you some more from my Tots Rule-OK kit!
This first one is from Dinphy - Rollercoaster! I love it all, don't you!

And this one is from Benita, the journalling reads something like "even waiting at the bus stop is fun with you!" (correct me if I am wrong Benita?!) Again another one I love.

OK, its getting cold up here now, so I am off into the warm and onto the laptop. And I need to take my antibiotics before I forget, not really feeling any improvement yet, maybe the second tablet will work!
Bye 4 now
