Sad and Good news all in One!

Sad news first - DigitalArts Cafe was hacked one too many times and Melo the owner has made the hard decision to close the store. As of today the forum and gallery are closed, you can still view the layouts but no more can be posted.

Melo was great and gave me a great opportunity to try my hand at designing which I have really really enjoyed. But I have decided that from now on I will be mainly scrapping as I missed it when designing and occasionally I will have a freebie or two here on my blog.

But the good news.... Well, I can't leave without some noise being made can I ...
so from today til the 15th August my complete store is on sale for 50% off! So click on the image to go shopping, and whilst there, check out the other designers stores for more amazing deals!

Here are some of the kits you can get now for a GREAT price...

Thanks for being with me on this adventure and keep checking back, I am sure I will still be designing on for free in future! ;)

New Kit - and it's FREE for 48 hours!

Yep, you read right, I have a new kit out and it is free from NOW until Thursday June 25 (12pm US Central Time!) Click on the image to go and pick it up at DigitalArts Cafe, but don't rush off too quick, I have something else to show you before you click and run

Here are a couple of the layouts my CT has created with the kit
The first two are by Benita, thank you so much! Check out the extraction on them both, awesome!

And these three are by Dinphy! (btw, she has a special offer on you might want to check out on her blog), where today she also has featured her layouts, with a bit more background about them, check it out! Thank you Dinphy, I love them all!

But that is not all! I put together these bragbook pages, which also have gone in the store today, and for just $1.99 you get 9 bragbook pages (7x5 in), and if you hurry they are on offer with 20% off until Friday 26th June. Again, I have linked the image for you!
CU soon (oh and a little love can go a long way, you know where the comments button is, don't be shy!)

B-day, Sale and a Freebie

Can you believe it? I can't - I don't feel a day over 21 and yet today I turned 40!! And I am loving it, great presents, great songs, yep, the boys sung to me this morning, without any help from me! So cute! All in all, a great way to turn 40. We had a joint party last Sunday when Florian turned 40, so no real celebrating today, but boy the party was great on Sunday!

Anyhow since then I have been working hard to get a new kit in the store to kick off my birthday celebrations with my Digi-Scrapping-Friends.
What do you think? This is "Garden Romance" Thanks to my lovely CT it actually has a name, up until last night the poor kit was sat on my harddrive under the name "nonameyet" poor thing! And I even managed to put together some clusterframes:

And as it is my birthday and 40 is such a great number, everything in my store is 40% off for the week! Click on the ad to go shopping!
BUT that isn't all, I put together this great freebie for you all, it coordinates with "Garden Romance" and you can pick it up free at DigitalArts-Cafe, you will have to register, but if you look around, this isn't the only freebie you will find over there! ;o)Download here

I'll be back tomorrow, with a couple of layouts to show you, and maybe I might find the time to make a quickpage for you all, so keep checking back!
CU soon (ooh and I love Birthday Wishes, so if you like my freebie, drop me a line here as there is nowhere at the store to do so! Thanks!)

A Sale, News and a Freebie

It's been a while again on this blog, but I do keep you all up to date on my life on my project 365 blog, so I hope I am forgiven!
Anyway, I was quite busy these past weeks (my CT will be surprised to hear, as they haven't had the links yet, sorry ladies)
Anyhow let me start of the post with the News that I have put all of my stuff at both stores at
30% off
to celebrate Inter-National Scrapbooking Day!
So click here (BTST) or here (DAC) to go shopping!

So and whilst you are at DigitalArts Cafe you might want to pick this up - my freebie!
When I first got the colour swatch and name of the kit I was a bit stumped, but I really, really like what I made of it! It is part of the MEGA (and I mean really MEGA) freebie that all of the DAC designers have put together for you. Melo will be releasing them one at a time, but they will all be available for the whole month of May.

Click the image to go to the store to pick up the freebie (and maybe go shopping)
I have made anything with the word Mum on in my kit in various international versions, and for my blog readers, if you would like it with even another spelling, drop me a line and I will see what I can do for you!

Now if you go shopping at BTST (any designer) and spend more than $5.00 there this weekend, you get the May Mega Collab free, and this is what I put in it for you! Inspired by the BBC programme "Mr. Maker" which the kids love watching. On there are these shape characters, which I based my little guys here on!so with all these things I am giving away, I think it is probably time that I made a kit to sell, so it might be quiet here again, but I'll be busy working away!
No, tell a lie, I'll be back soon, with some layouts - Dinphy has a new kit out that I'll want to show you too!
Bye 4 now

New Kit, Special Offer and a FREEBIE!

Well, as promised I am back today with my new kit, a special offer and a freebie. I'll start with my new kit!
I have been working on a New Year's Kit for you all to scrap those party photos you will be taking in a couple of days time! Complete with all those things we relate with good luck, ie. chimney sweep, lucky pig, ladybird and 4-leaf clover! (images are linked to the store)

these are the papers, there are 5 solid papers, 9 patterned papers and two papers with glittered edges all with some lovely textures!
and then I decided that the kit needed a special sort of Alpha, and look what I came up with! You get the complete upper alpha and numbers along with a bit of rope and a peg to create whatever title you need! I am really pleased with it! I hope you like it too.
So before I get to the freebie, what is my special offer?! Well, if you buy the kit between now and January 7th, email me (kayjaydo (at) yahoo (dot) com) the Order No. then I will send you a coupon to get the Alpha for free! Not a bad deal, right?!
Oh and if you head on over to the store before the 4th January, the kit and alpha are 20% off!

And now on to the freebie. I decided that EVERYONE needed the New Years Wordart to match the kit, and have created these international "Happy New Years" for everyone. Should you stop by and not find your language in this pack, then drop me a line (kayjaydo (at) yahoo (dot) com) and I will be happy to oblige, you'll just need to send me the correct spelling - I am afraid however that this particular font only has latin letters, so I cannot do it all in Russian or such, sorry about that.
At the moment the freebie has,
English (Happy New Year and Auld Lang Syne),
German (Prost Neujahr and Guten Rutsch)
Dutch, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Danish and Swedish
Image linked to the freebie, which is available in the store, if you are not already a customer there, you will have to register to download, but there are no additional charges or anything.
I hope you all enjoy it, and have a GREAT party at New Year. We are still undecided what we are doing, but we will be having fireworks, that I know!

And for all my regular readers, I'll be back this evening (probably late) with todays update. Late because we are off on a walk in the woods with torches (real flames and battery powered), its the annual Xmas party from the mother and toddler center. Should be fun!
Bye 4 now

A new product in the store!

Hihi, that's a title I never thought I would be writing! Sounds great doesn't it! Can you believe that I still get excited about this adventure!?!
Anyhow, you probably want to know what went into the store, well here it is - the new improved version of
BYGONE DAYS
I hope you like it, you may well recognise it, it is a combination of the kits I entered into both the DigitalArts Cafe Contest and the Sunshine Studio Contest!
And until Xmas it is on offer with 20% off! (images are linked to the store).

Now about the rest of my day, if the kids weren't arguing with one another they were arguing with me. It was hard work all day.
Oh and to top it all off this morning I had to go and pick Richard up from Kindergarden. They phoned and said he had the runs and to pick him up (Robert was at the bakers making cookies), so off I went, and in hindsight, he hadn't had the runs, just needed a pooh and not told anyone, like he does at home! So home we both came, me thinking he is poorly and mothering him and letting him watch Madagaskar. THEN I went to sort out the washing - lets just say, I can tell the difference between runs and... And he had not got the runs!
So tomorrow, against all protest, he will be wearing nappy pants (pull-ups) to Kindergarden, maybe that will get the message through to him!

OK, enough about that, most of you that wouldn't interest, but remember this blog is also for my husband who works away from home and this is his update too! Mmh, wonder if he is interested in that though?! Probably glad he wasn't around to have witnessed the mess!

Robert however had great fun at the baker's they saw all the BIG machines that mix the dough - he told me. And when I asked where my biscuit was, he informed me that they were too hot and had to go in a "BIG freezer to cool down". No pictures though as it was kids only!

OK, off to be creative

Thank you, thank you!

Wow, 41 (!!!!) comments in 24 hours, that is a record for me! Thank you all so much, do you realise you make my day?!
Glad you all like the freebies and I hope you are having fun on the rest of the blogtrain! I still have lots to visit!

I have something to show everyone today, two of my online friends also know how to make my day, and now may officially call themselves my CT! look what I got from Dinphy and Benita (I have two more, but I am saving them for tomorrow! hihi!) using my kit "Tots Rule - OK" now available at DigitalArts Cafe.
This one is from Benita, it is her darling granddaughter at the library, isn't it just great! I love how she has her leaning out of the frame reading. This was the first time I saw my alpha in action, and I love it! Thanks again Benita for making my day!

And this one is from Dinphy, this is Tom her son having fun on his tractor at the playground! I love the photos, and I love how Dinphy has wrapped the tots around one corner! And thank you Dinphy for this wonderful layout!

Speaking of Dinphy, have you stopped off at her blog on the DAC Blogtrain?! Her kit and my kit coordinate. We chose our colourswatch together, well, I left Dinphy with the hard task of choosing the colours and agreed they were great and perfect! ;)
But for you it means that you get a lot more matching elements and papers for your scrapping needs!
here is Dinphy's preview, it is linked to her blog, where you can download and leave her some love! (sorry it is so small, not sure why that is, but Dinphy has a bigger version on her blog!)

So have you wondered what I have been up to these past few days, well, apart from checking my downloads and comments, nothing that exciting. I had to go to the doctors this morning, somehow I have managed to get myself "pyelitis" (had to look that one up) it basically means it hurts to wee and I have terrible back ache. I thought the back ache was due to the fact that we need a new mattress, but it turns out, it wasn't just a bladder infection I had been trying to cure with lots of water. oops! So now I am on antibiotics and will hopefully be feeling fine in a day or two!
So needless to say, we haven't ventured far these past couple of days, played a lot of games, made paper chains (after Robert threw a paddy, when he couldn't get it to work and Richard could) and read some stories. Just a normal day in a household with toddlers I think!
That's all for today
Bye 4 now

BIG NEWS!! DigitalArts Cafe Blog Train - Christmas Convoy 2008

So you are here for the DigitalArts Cafe Blogtrain? the Christmas Convoy? My chit chat?!
Whatever it is, I am so pleased to see you here, because, before I give you TWO yes TWO freebies, one for the DigitalArts Cafe Blogtrain and one for the Christmas Convoy - I have some REALLY, REALLY exciting news!

Today my Store at DigitalArts Cafe opens! Isn't that exciting! And this is what is there so far, working hard on other things to go in there, but check these out. First was my 2nd Entry to the contest at DigitalArts Cafe, so if you didn't get it then, when it was a freebie, then now is your chance.

And I have also made a brag book to go with it (with a little help from my friend Leigh - thanks Leigh!), which you can also get at DAC.

And for the first time I got to participate in the Mega Collab Kit for DigitalArts Cafe, and I am so pleased with what I created that I have to show you that too - also available at DAC. The theme was a snowy evening and we all had the same colour swatch! you should see the kit you will get for only $6.50, and now for a limited time only $4.55. Check it out here.

OK, enough of the plugging, time to get to those freebies.
First up, my contribution to the DAC Blog Train.
I have made a "German" style kit. There aren't many kits out there with St. Nikolaus, so here is one for you. So last time I did a German kit, I gave you Wikipedia description all about it, so here it is this time:
  • In Germany, Nikolaus is usually celebrated on a small scale. Many children put a boot, called Nikolaus-Stiefel, outside the front door on the night of December 5 to December 6 . St. Nicholas fills the boot with gifts, and at the same time checks up on the children to see if they were good. If they were not, they will have a tree branch (rute) in their boots instead. Sometimes, a disguised Nikolaus also visits the children at school or in their homes and asks them if they "have been good" (sometimes ostensibly checking a book for their record), handing out presents on a per-behaviour basis. This has become more lenient in recent decades.
We, having lived here for nearly 30 years adopted the good bits about this tradition, so the boys will wake up and find some fruit and a little present in the boot!
But now, here is the kit, with traditional christmas stuff too!

And to find the other links to the Blog Train participants (about 60!) please click here for the up to date list (but I will list them here too, but you should check, I don't want you to miss anyone!), you really don't want to miss it! And I know Helen (1Iceprincess) has made some Quickpages with this kit!
