Mummy, what's this...

on my tummy?! That was Robert about an hour ago, after going to the toilet on his own. I then swore, whoops! He has a rash, not only on his tummy but all over his body, not his arms and legs, but back, front, bum and willy! AGH!!!!
Guess where we're going in the morning! I can hardly send him to Kindergarden looking like that! It apparently doesn't itch or hurt, and he doesn't have a fever, so I can only hope it is none of the typical children's things. Wish us luck!

Otherwise today was a good day, more or less. Richard and I got all the ironing done and put away, without breaking anything!!! Ticki was the one who broke something, he sneaked into the kitchen whilst we weren't looking and got up on the counter, and managed somehow to knock a plate on the floor. There is a German saying that goes "Scherben bringen Glück" broken pottery brings good luck. Well, maybe we should start playing the lottery, cause we seem to have a lot of things breaking around here.
I trod on Roley tonight and broke him. Oh the tears. I will have to buy some SuperGlue tomorrow, and hope that that will mend it.
Did I really write that today was a good day - doesn't sound like it really?! But it was, cause I didn't scream at the kids so often. Probably cause we went to the Bakers AGAIN! And they do love it there.

Right, now I am off to put some dry clothes on, gave the kids a bath and got drowned (as usual)

Not a very exciting...

day to put on a blog, just a day in the life of a SAHM (stay at home Mum). Shopping, an appointment for a massage at the physio, pick Robert up from Kindergarden.
A friend to visit with her kids, tea then bed!
The usual, with the usual tantrums and cute moments.

Robert however had an exciting morning. He got to go to the cinema with Kindergarden! They went on a bus, saw a film, had popcorn and a ride on the bus home again. He was so excited about it all. Beforehand, he was very worried about it, said he would be frightened of the big TV. But it turns out "I really like that big tele, Mummy, will you go with me again!?" That's my boy!
The next Disney film is ours - Mum, would you babysit Richard then?!

As for the chat at DSO, I should try and work out the times for them, cause 9pm CST or whatever does not translate to 8pm German time. It would have been at about 6am, so I gave it a miss. Maybe some other time!

One last challenge to tackle tonight, so I am off downstairs now, to see what I can come up with.

This was difficult, don't normally do Resolutions, but Mum and I came up with a few things that could be improved, so I scrapped them.

Why? Why does Robert always call me, when whatever I am watching on TV explains everything! He did it again, I have no idea who the murderer was now. Again I missed the last 5 minutes of CSI. Oh well, better luck next week!

Batteries are recharged!!

And that is a good thing, as the kids decided that they would have the most fun this afternoon, if they argued over the same toys. It was as if we didn't live in a toy shop! Honestly, we could open our own online toystore and be in business for a year, but my two only ever wanted the same toy.
But I didn't let them get to me today, I just let it go in one ear and out the other, we had a couple of stints on the naughty chair, but it didn't get to me!
The weekend must have done me the world of good. And by the time Friday rolls around and my nerves are thin, we will be at the Mütze (mother and baby centre, in case anyone other than Florian reads this!)

Tomorrow is Robert's big day out from Kindergarden, and I decided I needed to prewarn him about it. They are going on the bus to the cinema! (I'm so jealous!) Robert doesn't want to go, he told me, he said he would be frightened! Silly boy, the way he soaks up any television, he will LOVE it. Even more so as he is our son. We used to go once week. Now it is more like once a year!!

I am off to my first ever online chat at 8pm, I wonder what it will be like. That is if the kids let me.

Waiting for Pizza!!

Yep, that's right, who needs New Year's Resolutions about diets and such...?! Not us! We have decided to treat ourselves, the kids are in bed, the pizza is ordered, and should be here, round about the time, I finish tonights recap of the day! Can you hear my tummy rumbling?!

It was a beautiful day today, sunshine all day, freezing cold, but beautiful. We took the boys to a playground this afternoon, lots of swinging and digging in the sand. They were lovely and warm, we however felt the cold creeping up, maybe we should have done more running around too!

Managed to get one layout nearly finished already, so who knows maybe I'll have two to post.

Now, the pizza must be nearly here, my tummy is going to wake the boys up in a minute.

A lovely Day

I escaped (!) this morning, I left Florian with the kids, and went into town for some "retail therapy". I went to C&A's and got a pair of shoes (no, I am not a normal female, for me shopping for shoes is the one thing I hate shopping for. But I got a bargain so I am happy (12 Euros!) and I got a new jumper.
When Robert saw it on, he said, "I like your new pretty jumper, Mummy", and as I left the room he muttered "I like it best!" So cute.
Whilst I was out, Florian took the boys for a walk, which wore them out nicely, so that we got a nice lunch break from them.

And in the afternoon we went to that bakers again. They love it there, and so do I!

Now, just a couple more minutes and I can go downstairs!

Yippee...Florian's home

We were all so pleased to see him, the boys did their happy dance on their knees, it was so cute. Then they followed him just about everywhere until bed time! But the funniest thing was teatime. They both wanted to "sit next to Daddy", so Daddy made them stay where they were and went and sat himself between them. And whilst they were all eating both of the kids kept touching him. Not sure whether it was to make sure he was real, or to make sure he stayed put. Probably a bit of both!
As soon as Florian pushed his plate away, they were both on his lap! It was so cute to watch. They looked so good then, not like the little devils they had been up until 5 minutes before Florian walked in.

It was a long hard week, and I am glad it is over. Tomorrow I am going into town on my own, to have a break - recharge my batteries as I like to say. Robert has already told Florian that he wants to go for a walk! So I guess that is what they will do. I will have a nice morning out in town!

Did another DSO challenge today, you had to use 8 pictures (not too much of a problem, we've got over 20.000!) and 8 (!) papers, the most I had used before was 2, so this really was a challenge.
I don't think i will be using 8 again! this is what I came up with.

Nearly...

couldn't blog today. Got up this morning and the internet wasn't working. The boys were for once not to blame. I checked all the cables, texted Florian to find out how to reset the router. Tried that - no luck. So another call to the T-Com hotline. They said that it would probably be Saturday before someone could sort out my problem - and I thought the week could get no worse!!
But as you can see here I am updating you on my day, so Yep, the T-Com man came at lunch time. Did exactly what I had done, and it worked again. I felt a bit silly really. But who cares, it's working and I'm blogging, surfing, emailing, and all those fun things!

In the afternoon we went to a friends, Jenny, for waffles and a chat. It was good to be amongst adults, and all the kids played really nicely together. And the waffles were delicious. I forgot to take the camera, which was a shame, cause some of the kids playing would have been nice to have. Next time.

Forgot to tell you, I am entering a creative contest on JFTSOI, the prize being working for them doing two layouts a week with their products. Sounds like fun. Don't seriously expect to win, but I will have great fun in the contest that I know. So now I have to get downstairs and start practising, got lots more challenges to get done. And Liz, my favourite designer, has just sent out the posting bonus for two of her challenges, and I already know what I want to do with them!

The mirror crack'd....

...no not quite it smashed to smithereens (how on earth do you spell that?!) But I am sure you get the picture! Whilst I was ironing and thinking to myself how well the morning was going (kids hadn't argued, I hadn't had to raise my voice, the ironing was going to be finished in time to walk to Kindergarden to pick Robert up, when....... SMASH!!!!!! Richard somehow managed to knock Florian's Grandma's mirror over. Haven't got a clue how. That really shook me. Richard was so lucky, that he was standing to the side of the mirror (and me for that matter). But the poor heirloom, is now possibly beyond repair (the mirror definitely, the frame maybe, Florian will have to look) At least no one was hurt. And apparently it is only bad luck if a mirror breaks into 7 pieces, this was more like 7.000 pieces.
To top it off, a plant that was stood in front of it, also fell to the floor, and it had been watered too much. So along with all the pieces of mirror I also had a lake to mop up!
Richard was sufficiently frightened to stay in Roberts room, so I didn't need to worry about him.

In the afternoon, after a lot of tidying up (Robert and Richard got out ALL of the toys and spread them right across the bedroom) We went to the bakers - that sounds like a fun outing, doesn't it.
Well, it is really a baker and indoor playground. The boys love it there, and I got a REAL break. They went straight off to play with all the toys (Richard with the Stickle Bricks, Robert on a Go-Kart), and I treated myself to a Chocolate Croissant and a Hot Chocolate - just what the doctor had ordered, I would say!

And now my little cherubs are snug as bugs in rugs in their beds - hopefully soon asleep.

One of those Days

We didn't exactly get off to a flying start this morning. The boys were up at 6.30 and full of beans. Neither were interested in a cuddle with Mummy, all they wanted to do from the word "go" was fight and argue. What a way to start the day.
Once Robert was at Kindergarden Richard was in a much better mood, he loves his Mummy-time. We went for a massage then. Well I got to have a massage and Richard was allowed to watch and play. He was a little angel there, not a peep, just a contented little boy playing - such a difference to the earlier morning.

But I still needed a little retail therapy, so I went and got myself a new coat, from my Xmas Present (gift voucher). Richard thought it was hilarious, how many coats Mummy could try on!

Unfortunately the arguing and fighting continued in the afternoon. So needless to say I am now knackered. I do though think I know what Robert's problem was. He has a fever and is now dosed up with Calpol in bed. Poor little thing, and to think I spent most of the afternoon telling him off (mostly at the top of my voice, cause he was screaming too loud!)

Hopefully he will feel better in the morning, I really don't fancy a trip to the doctors. We always seem to leave there more poorly than when we went in!

OK, off downstairs now, I will post a layout for you later, if I conquer another challenge, they are getting more difficult now!

Happy New Year

Well, I have finally figured out, what I can do with the time I am sat in the office outside of the boys rooms, waiting to see if they need me anymore or not.
So instead of playing Minesweeper or surfing the net I have decided to keep a "blog". It will probably end up like a sort of diary, who knows. Not sure if anyone will actually be interested in it. But it will keep me occupied whilst sitting around waiting for that little voice "more juice" or from the other side of me "I need a wee-wee". Normally I only have to be this close for 20 mins. But that should be enough for this blog. Don't want to get too carried away.

So how was your day? Mine was OK. Robert went back to Kindergarden after the holidays this morning. And there were no tears, and he even nearly forgot to wave goodbye. I didn't think that would be a good idea, so I reminded him.
Richard enjoyed his morning alone with Mummy. Not that I actually played with him, I was ironing whilst he was building ships with some bricks. ( there's an idea, I will put a photo up here, when I get to the laptop, where the pictures are!)

We was going to go out puddle splashing in the afternoon, but the rain decided the puddles weren't quite deep enough just yet and continued, as soon as Richard had finished his nap. But the boys were quite content playing with their racing track, doing stickers and colouring in, and annoying one another!

Well, all is quiet here, so I think I can chance heading off downstairs. Don't like to go too soon, cause it is annoying to get comfy on the couch and then have to come straight back upstairs.
