2 more days and 2 more bags

Wow, this week has gone fast, there are only two more days to go of grabbag week, so I am going to show you my layouts using Jill's grabbag and those using Kim's grabbag.

Jill first, her preview didn't give that much away of what is inside it, so maybe these layouts will give a little hint...
First off we have our up and coming Scrapper -Richard! When Robert goes back to Kindergarden in the afternoons all Richard wants to do is "cutting, drawing and gluing", and it certainly looks like scrapping to me! Maybe I should give him a couple of photos and see what he comes up with..!

(hint hint - I used two of the products from the bag in this layout)

And this is me and Richard, I used an action by Pioneer Woman on the photo.

(just one product on this layout)

And that rounds off the layouts I made using the bags I was given. BUT for being CT of the month I got a gift voucher to spend at the store, so I bought Kim's grabbag, and now I'll show you what I made with that...

This is Richard, I think he must have been reading over my shoulder when I checked the September Challenges at DSO, cause this was the quote for September! I can't remember the last time he fell asleep in the lounge or anywhere other than bed, but on Friday he crashed mid-play! Bless him!
and this is Zoe on her birthday,

I knew how I wanted the layout to look and had to find something or write something for down the side of the photo, well, I couldn't come up with anything from me, so I went searching and found this lovely poem about kids.

CHILDREN ARE...
Amazing, acknowledge them.
Believable, trust them.
Childlike, allow them.
Divine, honor them.
Energetic, nourish them.
Fallible, embrace them.
Gifts, treasure them.
Here Now, be with them.
Innocent, delight with them.
Joyful, appreciate them.
Kindhearted, learn from them.
Lovable, cherish them.
Magical, fly with them.
Noble, esteem them.
Open minded, respect them.
Precious, value them.
Questioners, encourage them.
Resourceful, support them.
Spontaneous, enjoy them.
Talented, believe in them.
Unique, affirm them.
Vulnerable, protect them.
Whole, recognize them.
Xtraspecial, celebrate them.
Yearning, notice them.
Zany, laugh with them.

And that is all of my layouts using the grabbags available at DSO. If you still need convincing check DSO's gallery there are some lovely layouts from the CT there.
Happy Shopping!
Back tomorrow - I have some more layouts to show off, that have nothing to do with the bags...

Layouts using Andrea's Grabbag

I'm back again! This time I have a couple of layouts using the goodies in Andrea's PU grabbag, which is still on sale until this Friday!

This first one is the boys picking redcurrants.

(hint, hint - I used three products from the bag in this layout!)

and with this layout I have killed two birds with one stone again - this is also for the scraplift challenge at DSO - you should check the challenge out, we are lifting a VERY HOT layout this month!
This is my niece on the beach flying a kite!

But this wasn't the last of the grabbags that I was allowed to play with, I'll be back tomorrow with a couple of layouts using Jills Grabbag

sneak peak at Charlie's bag

I was such a lucky girl, because I got to play with some of the awesome grabbags up for sale at DSO this week.

Today I am going to show you what I made with Charlie's bag. Here is a layout you have already seen, but I love it and I am going to show it off again!
Richard and my niece on the beach, the actual photo isn't that special, but I think this layout makes it that way!

(hint, hint - I used two of the products in the bag for this layout)

For this next one I went digging through Mums family tree site, and on it she has a folder that says "mystery photos" well, this strip of photos is one of them. These three ladies are sisters and are related on my Mum's side of the family, but Mum doesn't know their names, who knows maybe someone in the scrapping world will recognise them! That would be a coincidence!

(hint, hint - I used a third product from the bag in this layout)

And here is what I made for my nieces b-day. A lady-like card, she is growing up so fast now, she was 7 at the end of August, so I thought she might like a "grown up" style card. I think she did.
(hint, hint - and yet another product from the bag is in this layout!)

Time to hurry on over to DSO to grab Charlie's PU grabbag (image linked)
I'll be back tomorrow with some hints about Andrea's Grabbag, CU then!

Grab bag Week - sneak peak anyone!?!

Sorry I never made it back at the weekend with more layouts to help your decision on buying a grabbag. The friends we went to visit didn't have wireless lan, so I couldn't log on to the internet
Never mind home now, the washing is getting on with it, and I can blog in peace whilst the kids are at Kindergarden!

So today I wanted to show you my layouts using Lynn's (lpand3dogs designs) GrabbagI had great fun playing with it. I have already showed you the layout I did using a photo of my Mum and Nanny, can't remember it? Here it is again!

I used two of the products in the bag for this layout! (hint, hint)

And here are two more layouts I did using the bag
This first one is my Great-great-great-great Grandmother, that is a LOT of greats!

And this is me! and 10 things I like. My friend Bentonflocke challenged me a while ago, to write down 10 things that make me happy, and I decided it would make a great layout, so here it is!

and Danyale, yep I LOVE chocolate, unfortunately this past year it doesn't burn off so easily anymore and has stayed on my hips and tummy, so I limit myself now, well try to!

Anyhow, have fun shopping, for 3 dollars you can't go wrong. And if you want to see some other layouts using Lynn's grabbag, check her blog here!

Tomorrow I will be showcasing Charlie's grabbag, more layouts!!! I told you I did lots!
CU then!

Grab a bag, ...or two... or three....

Well it is finally here PU Grab Bag Week at DSO, and today I am allowed to give everyone some sneak peaks to the contents

First of all, check out all the bags available:

And each one of them for only $3.00!!! And I have seen inside some of these bags and believe me you can't go wrong!
I'll be back over the next few days showing you what I created using some of the bags, but I will give you a little taste today (and if you check the designers blogs (see my sidebar) you will see many hints on their blogs too)
I have linked all the layouts to the respective grabbags, should you feel the urge to go and grab a bargain!

First up, using Lynn's Grabbag (LPand3dogs Designs), my Mum with her Mum (Nanny).

Then what about this one using Charlie's Grabbag - Richard and Zoe on the beach. (my first attempt and most certainly not the last using a photomask!)

Bored yet?! I hope not, cause here I have one using Jill's Grabbag - Richard just loves cutting and glueing so do I have a scrapper in the making!

And another one, this is using Andrea's Grabbag - this is the boys picking all the redcurrants for me!

Bunny was also going to make a grabbag, but Real Life got in the way, so the template I used for this layout of my boys looking for bugs is in the store now. I also used Melanie Ann's kit "Little Explorer".

OK, stop by through the week, cause these are not the only layouts I did with the kits! So lots more hints to come before the bags go on sale for full price next weekend!

CU tomorrow

So excited...

about so many things, that I don't know where to start...!
I think I will show you what is happening at DSO starting tomorrow first!

I have LOTS and LOTS of hints for you about the bags starting tomorrow, so you may want to stop by again!

That is my first bit of exciting news, and next, my latest layout, I am really pleased how this one turned out

I had so much fun looking for the pictures for each year. All are pictures from around Robert's Birthday so almost exactly year apart. I forget how much he has changed, but cute all the way through, but then I am biased!!

And last but not least, because of bagweek next week, I have been turning out layouts, LOTS of layouts for DSO (well, thats what they think I love them all, so they are all for me really!) Being on their CT is so much fun, I am just enjoying being there, and scrapping, but hey I got rewarded for all of the layouts I did, I am CT of the Month (I hope you don't think I am showing off, but I am so excited, I just had to share!!) I won't post the banner they made me, but if you want to see it, stop by at the forum (click here)!

OK, don't forget to come back tomorrow for some tips on what may be in the bags!!
CU then

Hihi, I got to play with a fun monkey kit from DSO today - "My little Monkey" by LPand3dogs Designs. Just perfect for my boys, and as all the new challenges are up at DSO, I decided to use this kit to make this months desktop.
First here is the kit (image linked to store)
And here is my desktop, very fitting for the boys, don't you think! ;o)

But I have got another layout for you, I took these pictures yesterday at my nieces b-day party! It was a lovely day, and look what her other granddad got her and her sister! We all had great fun with this chinese hat made of paper! Some of course looked sillier than others! hihi!

My layouts for..

the Gotta Pixel Scrap Star contest. For the past 4 weeks I have been having fun joining in the challenges at GP and some of them really were a challenge

This is the layout for the first week. We got the kit from them and had to use it for something that you wouldn't normally use the kit for. It was a superhero kit, so the obvious would have been the boys in superman pose or such. Here is what I did with it - some of our wedding photos!

This was the layout for week 2, and to be honest it was not a kit I would have bought BUT I managed to make a layout I like with it. The challenge here was to make a white space layout using imperfect photos. These photos are imperfect because when the boys took them with the selftimer they managed to move the camera!

For the third week we got a kit from one of my favourite Designers "Colie's Corner" and with this one we had to use as much of the kit as possible. Again a challenge for me as I often don't have many elements on my layouts. And we had to scrap about a "guilty pleasure".

Oh Snap by Colie's Corner

And i have just finished this weeks layout. This week we got a template as well as the kit and we had to scrap about an ordinary moment. Well I went for an ordinary day!

Bye 4 now

Sweet Digi Scraps' latest kit

I nearly forgot to show off the layouts that I made with Liz's great new kit "Purity Punk" (image linked)
This first one was for the DigiDare Challenge last week. you had to scrap a "Leap of Faith" using altered pictures (at least 2) and then 10 elements of the same colour. Whilst thinking about the challenge I was listening to Keith Urban, and realised that i was singing "leap of faith" the lyrics to one of his songs, which i can sing along to, but now cannot remember the title of (sorry about that). Anyhow, I found some different wedding pics and this is what I came up with.

Not all elements are from Purity Punk, but they are all from Sweet Digi Scraps
Template by Digi Designs by Denise

And here is one of my nieces on holiday, I thought the kit went just perfect with their crocs.

Back soon with more layouts!
