Dinphy's "Mellow Yellow" layouts

Well, I think Dinphy has been browsing my photos again... as this time she has made the perfect kit for my Wedding photos. Our wedding colours were lilac and yellow, and look at this kitjust perfect, so here are the layouts I made using it, I just couldn't stop once I had started, and I may be back with more, and of course it is all layouts with my wedding pics!

So this first one I made for the Scraplift Challenge at DSO, before it was closed! Oh well, I got a great layout from it!

This one, is one of my favourite pics of the bridesmaids, just look at them all huddling to pick up all the flowers that had been thrown. I don't think there was a single petal or flower left in front of the church once they had finished!

And this one is so simple, but I love it!

Now if you head on over to Dinphy's Blog she has a matching freebie to the kit for you and will point you in the right direction for it!

A Sale, News and a Freebie

It's been a while again on this blog, but I do keep you all up to date on my life on my project 365 blog, so I hope I am forgiven!
Anyway, I was quite busy these past weeks (my CT will be surprised to hear, as they haven't had the links yet, sorry ladies)
Anyhow let me start of the post with the News that I have put all of my stuff at both stores at
30% off
to celebrate Inter-National Scrapbooking Day!
So click here (BTST) or here (DAC) to go shopping!

So and whilst you are at DigitalArts Cafe you might want to pick this up - my freebie!
When I first got the colour swatch and name of the kit I was a bit stumped, but I really, really like what I made of it! It is part of the MEGA (and I mean really MEGA) freebie that all of the DAC designers have put together for you. Melo will be releasing them one at a time, but they will all be available for the whole month of May.

Click the image to go to the store to pick up the freebie (and maybe go shopping)
I have made anything with the word Mum on in my kit in various international versions, and for my blog readers, if you would like it with even another spelling, drop me a line and I will see what I can do for you!

Now if you go shopping at BTST (any designer) and spend more than $5.00 there this weekend, you get the May Mega Collab free, and this is what I put in it for you! Inspired by the BBC programme "Mr. Maker" which the kids love watching. On there are these shape characters, which I based my little guys here on!so with all these things I am giving away, I think it is probably time that I made a kit to sell, so it might be quiet here again, but I'll be busy working away!
No, tell a lie, I'll be back soon, with some layouts - Dinphy has a new kit out that I'll want to show you too!

Server update at Been there Scrapped That and some more layouts

Have you noticed Been There Scrapped that is down, sniff, apparently the Birthday Bash brought lots of extra people by and the provider decided that it needed to move BTST to a bigger server - good news really, only they did it without too much notice!
it should all be up and running very soon, but i thought I'd let everyone know here too, what was going on!

And I have a few more layouts to post! This is the last week of both progressive challenges that I have taken part in and in both the last part of the challenge was "title" and "journalling". Title that's OK, but journalling, always a challenge for me, but I think I did OK.

first up the Scrap-a-bration challenge from Been There Scrapped That "Can we dig it?"

I have been having great fun joining in all sorts of challenges! So in no particular order, here are the layouts for the challenges!

First up are two progressive challenges, one at Been There Scrapped That and one celebrating Scrap Orchard's birthday hosted at Scrap Orchard and Gotta Pixel. Both challenges are on their third week, so only one more to go!
This is the layout for the BTST Scrap-a-bration, I really like how this one is coming along - it has way more elements on it than I normally use, but its looking good!

And this is my layout for the Gotta Orchard Challenge - awesome participating bonuses for this one every week! Its the boys doing our paper mache project - never did get it finished for Easter, but they won't mind, if I can entice them off of the trampoline for a minute! (more about that on another layout)

This next one was for the Layout Snatch Up Challenge at BTST. Journalling reads: Richard, you love that Spring has finally arrived, and that you can be digging in the dirt, playing with your diggers and enjoying the sun! April 6th, 2009

Hybrid Quickproject Freebie!!!

let me start off by saying - Danyale you are going to be so proud of me!!
I got the glue out today! I was surfing the digiworld (as usual) today, and found a link on Ikeagoddess' site to a GREAT hybrid mini bag project.

It was on Michelle Filo's site and it looked so great, that I couldn't wait for the boys to be having their "upstairs time" (they no longer nap, but have to give me a break) so I could try it out!
I was so happy with the result, that I went back to Michelle's site (bookmarked now by the way) and asked her if she would let me share the project with everyone - she found a great word for it a "Quickproject"! And she said YES! Isn't that kind!

So here it is!
I have uploaded it to both Mediafire and 4shared, so take your pick!

And if you do go and see Michelle, leave her a note of thanks there too! A little thanks can go a long way!

Lots Chirpy chirpy hop hop layouts!

And a little bit about our weekend! Well, we normally open the barbecue season at Easter with Mum, Dad and my brother and family, and we will barbecue next weekend - but as the weather was so beautiful this weekend, we decided to open it a week earlier!
Which we did, BUT once the weather heard of our plans, it sent lovely dark clouds over and proceeded to rain! But it didn't put us off, we set the barbecue up under cover and barbecued our sausages and feta cheese. But it did turn rather chilly with the clouds and rain, so we ate in the kitchen, instead of outside, much to the boys disappointment. But the sausages and greek salad made up for it!

So how do you all like my new kit! I have a lot of layouts to show you

This first one is by Benita and shows her kids having great fun at Easter in 1993

These next two are by Vanessa!

And Dinphy did these two great layouts. Look at Tom having fun painting Easter Eggs, shall I be honest and admit, that my kids haven't done this before, as I am not as brave as Dinphy!

And poor Lisa, imagine finding all those chocolate eggs in the garden and then not being able to eat them! Better luck next weekend, Lisa!
Thats all for today
Bye for now

Chirpy Chirpy Hop Hop - and a Birthday Celebration

Well, I promised a surprise on April 1st, and NO it is NOT an April Fool's joke! Been There Scrapped That is turning ONE and has some new designers on board, and

Can you hear me shouting it from the roof top, I am that excited!
And not only that, I have two new kits hitting my stores - First of all, I got to do a collab with Liz (Sweet Digi Scraps) imagine that, when I started "stalking" poor Liz in December 2007, who would have thought that one day I would be making a kit with her. Certainly not me! I am still so in awe. And look how cute it turned out!

You can get it here at Been there Scrapped That and it is 35% off for a little while, so grab it while you can!

But that wasn't all that I have been busy with, I also made a great Easter kit. A bit different, cause I didn't use any pastels, I wanted a kit with cute things that you can use for boys as well as girls, and this is what I came up with! (available here at BTST and here at DigitalArts-Cafe)

I love it and I hope you do too. And I got a bit carried away, so it is packed full of all sorts of fun things, and I didn't stop there, I made a freebie for you too!

5 papers, 6 elements and 1 wordart!Download from Mediafire here

There is nowhere to comment at Mediafire and although I appreciate the numbers rising, it does make my day to get a comment or two! So leave some loving here, and I'll be back in a week and will pick a random winner to get another of my kits! How does that sound!? -- I hope it doesn't sound like I am fishing for compliments (although who doesn't love a compliment or two), I just feel like RAKing someone!

now do pop over to BTST and join in all the fun. We have some great challenges going on. I'll be back often to show you all the layouts I create for the challenge.

Dinphy has a new kit!!!

And I got to play with it!! Want to see?! First the kit, isn't it cute, I love that teddy bear (although I haven't used him yet!) (image linked to store)

I decided to dig deep for pictures to use with this cute kit, and I found some great photos, this first one is of the boys in January 2007 (Robert 2,5, Richard 1). Richard got a push around car for Xmas, and they both managed to sit on it and ride around. The journalling is from a song from the BBC show Tikkabilla, which they both love.

And in the same folder I found this adorable picture of Richard, just a random shot taken at tea time. He looked so cute, and I remembered that Bethany of Elegant Wordart had this perfect wordart for it. And here is the finished layout!

So if you like what you saw and want to go shopping - click here! Ooh and Dinphy will be blogging today too, so you might want to see if she has a surprise for you here.

What else is new around here - Florian is home for the weekend, Richard spent the day tripping over his own feet - I think he is growing - and he now has a big fat lip! But he is being pretty brave about it, he didn't complain whilst eating or cleaning his teeth, so it can't be as bad as it looked when he first did it! It happened at Kindergarden just before I picked him up, so it looked quite bad then, poor thing!
