Swimming and a washing machine

Yippeee! today finally my washing machine is working again! The new part arrived yesterday and I tried yesterday to fix it all together, but wasn't too sure about it, so I waited for Florian to sort it out. And although the part looks about right, to start with Florian couldn't get it to fit properly. BUT he did in the end. We found out too, that not only had the hose broken in the cold weather, but also the tap we were using. So we have it all hooked up to the "spare" tap we had. (We were lucky there, I think most people wouldn' t have a "spare" tap), and now clean clothes here we come!

This afternoon we took the boys swimming, a friend of the kids phoned yesterday if we wanted to join them, and the boys weren't taking no for an answer. We left straight after lunch and the boys loved it. I am not that greater fan of swimming, but anything for the kids. There were slides there, a pool with warm water, outdoor swimming (in the warm water) and a baby pool with water spraying things that can be turned on or off. They loved it all. But I think the slide was their favourite. Robert actually swam on his back half a width of the pool - very impressing. And he has totally lost any fear he ever may have had, and was jumping in the water off of the side. Trying out belly-flops and all!

After swimming we went to a restaurant, Robert had a sausage, Richard had nuggets, I had chicken and Florian a cheese sandwich and soup. It was all rather delicious. Richard slept on the way home, Robert watched his friend in the car in front of us all the way home! Complaining some of the time, when they were out of sight because of a corner or so! hihi!
