A quiet day

first things first.
Michelle has another Quickpage for you on her blog. Just click on the preview to go to her blog and pick it up
Now about my day. Well thank you everyone who wished me a good night! I almost got it. I had to get up once at 3.30am for Richard, he had lost his dummy (pacifier), but he went straight back to sleep. And Robert - not a peep from him all night. He was however wide awake at 6.30am! Oh well, it was a much better night. We'll see what they have in store for me tonight. They are rather excited about going to see Nanna and Pop tomorrow, so they will probably be up rather early. Oh well, we'll just surprise Nanna and Pop early!

Today was another beautiful morning, unfortunately it really clouded over when we went out in the afternoon, but it was warm, so we didn't really mind. Just came in a little bit earlier than planned, cause the raindrops were threatening. Not happened yet, but it won't be long...
I did get a bit weeded this afternoon, and I "found" quite a lot of strawberry plants hiding amongst the weeds, made weeding a bit more difficult. But we will have fun eating the strawberries now, I don't think they would have done much under all those weeds!

Robert's Check Up

went really, really well! Not only were we in and out within 30 minutes ,but with good news too!
The heart sonogramme was good. The valves have gone down considerably, which even the doctor looked pleased about. He has to take the asprin now for 8 more weeks and then we have to go and have another sonogramme done and see from there. But it is looking very good. Apparently Robert's Kawasaki syndrome was caught early enough, that there has been no permanent, risky damage to the heart valves. That was good to hear. (Sorry Mum and Florian I forgot to mention that one on the phone, and both of you normally read this before I get downstairs near a phone!)

We had another fun afternoon in the garden, although I let the boys get on with it today, I just didn't have any energy in me! You see, I only got about 2 -3 hours sleep last night. Robert got me up at 1am - he had wet his bed. And as I thought he was a BIG boy, I hadn't bothered putting the water proof sheet on, BIG mistake, cause of course his matress was wet this time, so I couldn't just change the bed and put him back in it. He had to come in with me! That was annoying enough, but then at 2am Richard woke up and thought he should join me in my bed too. But with Robert already there, I wasn't having it. So I fought with Richard about it until 4.30am! When he finally gave in! I was then rudely awoken by Robert at 6.30am who thought he should give me a big kiss, but got his finger in my eye at the same time! GRRR! Needless to say, I have been a bit grumpy all day!

This cheered me up though

I got RAKed at DigiShopTalk by MickeyB and won this kit (to go to the store, click the picture)! I have just finished downloading it, and already know which pictures I want to use, so check back later, I may have it finished!

Well, told you my fingers itched to get working with this kit. Here are the pictures that came into mind as soon as I saw this kit! Richard got this new book for being such a good boy for Nanna when Robert and I were in hospital. I can't count the number of times I have read it since then! Both the boys love it! Another beautiful day

first of all, Michelle has another beautiful Quickpage on her blog, so click on the image to go straight there to download. If you are here looking for my Quickpage, scroll down (or read your way there) it is about 3 posts down now!

Spring has finally arrived, and as I say it the black clouds move in, but that is Spring too, right?!
I picked the kids up from Kindergarden, and they were actually outside playing without their coats on! They thought it was brilliant, how quickly it changes though, on Friday I picked them up and Richard had insisted on wearing his winter hat!
A big black cloud has been hovering all afternoon, but we ignored it and went out in the garden anyway. And thankfully we did, as it didn't start raining til about 6pm by which time we were in having tea!
I got a little bit more weeding done, gave Treacle(the rabbit) the cats travel box to sleep in if it rains, and played golf with the boys.
The boys also did some weeding, and fed the rabbits - with the weeds, well at least the dandelions!
That was about it for today, I plan on some scrapping tonight, seeing as I didn't get any done at the weekend. So if you like check back later, and see what I got up to!

Well, I did get busy! This is Richard at the weekend, basically telling me to get lost! He saw the camera and said "Don't cheese me!" that is exactly when I pressed the shutter! I just HAD to scrap it! When else do you get such a great title!
I used the Been There April Collab Kit Wise Guy, which I got for completing all the challenges this month!

this is the boys having way too many sweeties in the garden, they sat themselves down in the grass, telling us that they were having a picnic! So cute!

And this is a picture of a swan that my Dad took at the beginning of spring, I thought it went great with this kit, with all the dragonflies in it!

Beautiful Day

The weather was soooo great today, we were outside all day!
Florian is unfortunately having back trouble again so didn't join us in the garden this morning, instead he went off to the gym to try and strengthen his muscles quickly and make the pain go away.
In the afternoon my friends from my apprenticeship Ingrid and Sabine (and her husband Bülent) came for a barbecue! It was a GREAT afternoon.
Bülent helped Florian put the rabbit hutch in the garden for Miffy. And he also helped Florian cut poor Miffy's claws, which were much much too long!
The food was delicious and the company was great. An all in all brilliant day.

The kids loved being outside all that time and I think or hope the fresh air will have worn them out so we all get a good nights sleep!

For those of you, who are here for the quickpage, you will have to scroll down a bit, but it is still there.

Digital Arts Cafe Contest and a Quickpage Freebie

Good morning,

Digital Arts Cafe are holding a contest to find a new Blinkie for all of us who love it there. Why not help out and join the fun, and have the chance of winning a $30 Gift Coupon for the store! Here are the rules, if you have any questions about it, just PM Rhonda in the forum, the add will take you directly to the forum post, and she will help you out.

And whilst we are on the subject of Digital Arts Cafe, I have a little humble Quickpage for you.
Just click on the image to download.

I used Lynn Griffin's Kit "Just to see you smile" (isn't that a lovely name for a kit).

Click on the image to go to Lynn's Shop:

I will be back later on tonight, for my usual post. Take care, have fun with the Quickpage and as always send people to my blog to pick it up, and if you have the time leave me a little love I love reading comments.

Oh, and Michelle has a Quickpage up for grabs on her blog, if you want to pop over there to get that too, scroll down, or click here.

Well, here I am back again as promised, we had a lovely day all together, I think we all needed it, after the hospital stress. We spent the afternoon helping one another in the garden. We did some weeding and grass cutting, and the rabbits have moved to their summer home on the grass. I got some great pictures of the boys in with the rabbits, should be something I could scrap there! Who knows I might get something done tonight...
I went shopping whilst the boys were having their snooze, and I couldn't resist it, I brought them a treat, a squidgy very realistic looking lizard and crocodile. So realistic, that it took Richard a while before he was brave enough to touch his! But once he had there was no stopping them with them. I enjoyed watching them!

Now for a relaxing evening

Dandelions

First of all, today is Leigh's 10th Wedding Anniversary - here in Germany that is a Rose Anniversary, according to Google in the states it is "tin" - I think I prefer the roses! Well, congratulations Leigh and Hubby, if you want pop on over to her blog and leave her some love, she would enjoy that!

And our other CT member Michelle, is offering a beautiful Quickpage on her blog today, so you should pop on over as soon as you have finished here. Just click on the preview to get there.

Seeing as Liz (Sweet Digi Scraps) blogged about Dandelions today, I thought I would let everyone know what little boys do with them! No, mine didn't pick the flowers for me, but that could have been due to the fact that they weren't flowering, mine helped me dig the weeds up! And had great fun doing it. Looks like I may have two little gardeners on my hands. Robert even got really good at pointing them out to me. He was quite disappointed when we managed to get rid of all of them in the front garden this afternoon.
One good thing about doing the dandelions in the front garden was that we were out there, when Florian arrived home. The boys just run and jump at him as soon as he gets out of the car. It is like watching a film, it even seems as though it goes into slow motion. So cute.

This is my layout for the colour challenge at DSO, its Mia trying out the pram for size before it was given to my cousin for their baby. She is definitely too big for it now!

Well, I have something up my sleeve for you for tomorrow morning, so check back then.

I did it!!!

Yep, I got the lawnmower to work today! All it needed was the blade or was it the whole lawnmower - to be lowered, and hey presto, the lawn is short again! Do you have any idea how difficult it is to mow a lawn with two boys. We do have a toy lawnmower, but only one, so one mowed with the toy one (Richard) and Robert "helped" me! In other words, he stood in front of me and helped push, you should have seen the funny walk that caused me to have! Luckily or unfortunately no one had a camera to capture the moment, so I won't be scrapping this years first lawnmowing session! The boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves though and have hopefully worn themselves out for the night!

Speaking of which, I was so surprised when the first "Mummy" call came last night. Cause it was no longer night, but early morning and light! Yep, both Robert and Richard slept through and so did I. Robert called at 7.15am so even that wasn't too early! We stuck a sticker on Robert's Bob the Builder calendar, and when he has 7 stickers in a row (!) then he gets a present. We'll see how it goes!

I got some scrapping done in my "lunch break" and I actually remembered to save it to the network drive, so I should be able to post it here now.

This first one is of Zoe and Mia trying to "gracefully" get out of their new hammock! So cute!

And this one is Mia, I found so many pictures of her dressed up, that I thought I should scrap them. Isn't she cute!

I have a couple of challenges still to do for April, so I might do them later on, we'll see.

Gardening and arguing

Don't you just love the things kids argue about! My two started early this morning. They spent all the way to Kindergarden arguing over who was going to have a cocoa at Kindergarden, as if there was only one cup of it to share. They even nearly had a punch up over it!
At least once there I didn't have to hear anymore. I had a busy morning with the ironing and cooking.
And this afternoon we went in the garden. I decided to surprise Florian (well it won't be now! This is his blog after all!) and do the lawn-mowing, however after having mown next to the barn, a neighbour and I decided that it didn't look like it was mowing at all. So rather than do it all with a not working lawn mower I stopped. And will have to chat to Florian about it tonight, and see if I was getting it all wrong or whether after its winter break I should have "done" something other than just start it!
As it happened the neighbour stayed and her son Lorenz and my boys had great fun together, and we had a good natter! All the neighbours were out in the nice weather today so we got to chat with another couple again. Most wanted to know where Robert had been and how he was. Hard to believe just how ill he was, when you see him running around outside. But that is GOOD news!
I had the camera outside with me, but I forgot - can you believe that - to take any pictures, oh well, I have enough still needing to be scrapped, so I won't be at all bored!

And here are tonights layouts, these are for Michelle Herron's CT, she has a new collab kit out, and these are using her part "And Beyond!"
This is Richard playing what could have been his version of "rockets" in his play tent! Check out who is peeping out of the window of the rocket!

And these are the two of them discussing their drawings on the blackboard, Richard looked like a little professor at the time. So they could well have been working out the route to the moon!

Everything seems to be OK again!

but shhh, don't want to jinx it! The boys were both running wild this afternoon, no temperatures or any such thing today. Let's hope it stays that way for a while now!

This morning they went off to Kindergarden no problem and I then went and did some shopping, so much more relaxing without them. Once home it was just a bit of housework and feed the "farm" (chickens, cats and rabbits!). Then there was a little bit of time for a sit down before I had to pick the boys back up again. So I did a little bit of online shopping! Kim B. is having a sale today and I love her stuff, so I made the most of the bargain price and got 4 kits for the price of 1.5! Not bad!
I also went shopping at Digital Arts Cafe, I owe them some CT layouts, with Robert being ill, I hadn't had time to sort out a kit to work with, so I couldn't do anything for them in hospital. But that is my project for tonight, so watch this space! I'll have to see if I can find a challenge somewhere for me to use it with.

Well, here are the layouts I did with the Kit "With my Heart" by Babs at Digital Arts Cafe. This first one is the two pictures we took of Robert at hospital, he is finally sleeping soundly here, on his worst day. He had us very worried, but he is definitely on the mend now

And this is one of Richard in the garden at the weekend. I found this quote on Spring a while back, and somehow this picture went perfectly with it.

Other than that it was quite an uneventful day, the boys did jigsaws, colouring in, stickers, trains and lots of running this afternoon. It wasn't really nice enough to go out, but they didn't seem to bothered by it!

Phew!!!

Well, we went to the doctors this afternoon with Richard, and we had already done the right thing for his poor swollen willy, by giving him a bath last night! the doctor said that that was the best thing for it at the moment, actually this afternoon it didn't look too bad anymore. He will however have to have an operation in the future, and so that I don't forget I have already made his appointment, but to be on the safe side, not until during the Kindergarden Holidays in July.
We will have to have the same done to Robert, but I am not going to make an appointment, until we have the all clear from the Kawasaki Syndrome Thing!

After the doctors I treated the boys to a little trip to our very small zoo. We didn't stay long though, as one of the goats made Richard jump really badly, and after that all he wanted was to go home. I have to add, that cause of the doctors appointment he missed out on his afternoon nap! Which of course didn't help.
Once home they didn't even want to go in the garden, both were worn out, so they stayed in for some jigsaw fun.

Unky Mick, Aunty Tricia, if you are reading this, Thanks SOOOO much! My aunt and uncle sent the boys a present this morning. I found a parcel in my letter box, and was very intrigued by it, as I wasn't expecting anything. Well, they sent Robert and Richard a book each, Robert's was for being brave in hospital, and Richard's was for being good for Nanna! Isn't that GREAT! Brought a lump to my throat. Thanks again!

Speaking of parcels, did I ever mention that my missing Tiara was returned! What a relief! We are all so excited about it. What must have happened is that the pick up slip got lost and the post office couldn't find the parcel without it, so it sat at the post office lonely for 4 or 5 weeks, and then was returned to me unharmed.
Well I have wrapped it up again and it is now on its way back to England, but this time as a parcel rather than a small package, as parcels are insured and can be traced. So fingers crossed, by Thursday it should be with my aunt and uncle, who will take it to Heather at the weekend, ready to take to her first fitting at the beginning of May. It would be so exciting if she can wear it! It all depends on how it goes with the dress, which is why it was so important that we post it.

I got the last layout done for the Been There Scrapped That Challenges. It is my Mum's favourite picture from our wedding. I was just about to step out of the church, when Dad called me.
