Wet, wet, wet

no not the Scottish pop group, but my boys after having fun splashing in the puddle opposite our house! From scorching hot last week the weather has gone the total opposite, and now it is much too cool and wet for August. I don't think we get any "normal" days anymore, we only seem to do extremes! Oh well, we made the most of a bad day this afternoon. Got out the wellies and off we went. I really should have got the water proof trousers out too, cause after only two big jumps in the puddle Robert had soaked himself. That didn't stop him though, the carried on splashing til the puddle was no more! At one point Robert came over and said "Mummy, I think I've got wet feet", well, wet feet doesn't do it justice! His feet were both sat in their own little puddles in his shoes! We had to empty the wellies. And then wring out his socks! They were so so wet, but having a great time. I was too, as all the neighbours with kids had joined us, so we had a good natter whilst the kids splashed! And then it was in to give the kids a bath, so that they don't catch a cold!

This morning my cousin's wedding book arrived, so this afternoon (before all the splashing) we popped to the post office! It turned out very nice (if I do say so myself) a couple of the pictures have printed up a bit on the dark side, but it doesn't spoil the book, its probably just me being over critical!

I got a couple of layouts done one at lunchtime and one last night, so I will definitely be back later to post those.

This first one is Robert on his new bike.

I can picture them splashing in the puddles :) When my daughter was about 5, I was complaining about the rain one day and she looked up at me and said "But Mommy, when it rains we get to play in puddles"...I haven't thought about rain the same since LOL. I'll be checking back for those layouts :)
