A new dryer and b-day party

That was our day in a nutshell! We went out this morning to two different electronic stores and bought a new dryer - a bit more expensive than we were hoping to get, but bargains weren't going this morning. Florian has it all set up for me, now all I have to do in the morning is the washing and we can try it out. It is a lot bigger inside than my old one, and it runs more efficiently, as it knows when the washing is dry and I don't just set it to 90 minutes and let it run. For once I am actually looking forward to doing the washing! ;o)

This afternoon we went to my god-daughter's birthday party she is 1 today! She enjoyed all the attention, only after having seen all the layouts in the galleries with really young kids getting messy with their very own birthday cake, I think she would have really really enjoyed that, but that is a tradition yet to be discovered in Germany, so she only got a less messy biscuit. Maybe next year, I'll get her a brightly coloured b-day cake for her to mess with! (Have to remember to take a cover for the carpet with me!)
My friend seems to have gotten over whatever was bugging her on Tuesday, so that was good. And we had a nice afternoon, the kids all played nicely. The boys (mine and my god-daughters brother) loved Lisa's birthday present. I got an all singing all dancing toy, you could unlock things, put shapes in windows, press buttons for music, play music, telephone and count with it! And they played with it for quite a long while, I don't think my god-daughter got a look in!

Florian got a DVD out for us for tonight, we are going to be watching Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, but I might still get a layout done whilst watching.

I did get one done! Liz (SweetDigiScraps) has a GREAT new kit out "Playdate" and I just had to play with it, and I knew the perfect photo for it!
