I am absolutely knackered. What a week, I go in thinking he is allergic to the medicine I gave him, then it could be Meningitis, then they don't know, then they check for glanular fever. And finally they come in and shock us all with their final diagnosis! Kawasaki Syndrome. Luckily Robert took the medicine with no problems, we now just have to find a way to get him to take his Asprin for the next 8 weeks, without me bribing him with a lollypop each time, otherwise, we will be spending a lot of time at the dentists!!!
At hospital we had two days where he had to take 800mg of Asprin (8(!) tablets), now at home it is only(!) 75mg, so maybe that will be easier, I will let you know tomorrow, he had todays dose at hospital! Unfortunately Asprin does not come packaged for children, so I will have to crush it up, try and make it dissolve and then give it to him. At hospital we were putting it in apple juice, any other suggestions are more than welcome!
We had another ultrasound screening of his heart before we were discharged from hospital, and they said that it had improved slightly since his last screening. So that was good news. We have to go again for one on April 29th.
On a lighter note. Richard was so excited to see me, I have always been slightly jealous of Florian and the greetings he gets when he gets home on Fridays, but this greeting made up for all of that! He ran and jumped into my arms, then he ran round the car and gave Robert a cuddle too! So cute!
thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, they did help us! It was great to know you were there thinking of us! I got a few layouts done whilst in hospital (when Robert was asleep!), I will post them later on, time to get Richard up now.
Well, the kids are in bed asleep, they were so cute together today, they really missed oneanother, unfortunately they obviously also missed arguing with one another, and did so! But they played more than they argued.
Here are another couple of layouts I did at the hospital, had to finish them off with my Mum's help as I didn't know where or when they were taken for the journalling!
This is my Nanny at work, somewhere in East London, making dresses during the war.
